(1997-): We zoom down a road, as a thunderstorm brews above. Lightning strikes multiple times, as we encounter a leafless tree. Lightning strikes it, and leaves instantly appear on the tree. The screen freezes and zooms out in a square on the black background, revealing the same yellow text as before but slightly thinner and smaller.

Variants[]

  • A prototype version of the logo is seen at the end of Con Air, where we see footage of the same tree in the desert with moving thundering clouds. However, the tree already has the leaves. The lightning hits the tree and the footage zooms out to be enclosed by the square to reveal the same text. The footage freezes and becomes still. This version also appeared on trailers for said film.
  • On films since 2004, it’s mainly the same animation with a thin yellow rectangle added around the clip, the camera keeps zooming out, revealing that the clip is now in a rectangle, until the lightning strikes on the tree, the screen fades out.
  • In the movie G-Force, we see a guinea pig running along the highway, while exclaiming "Hey, slow down!" The guinea pig runs off after the lightning strikes the tree.
  • In the movie Kangaroo Jack, we see the kangaroos crossing the highway.
  • In the movie The Lone Ranger, it uses a railway track instead of a highway in both trailer and theatrical version. It does not accompanied by the sound of a lightning.
  • In the movie The Sorcerer's Apprentice, the sound of a lightning is replaced by the sound of a Tesla coil.
  • In the movie Déjà Vu (2006), the sound of thunder is played before the logo appears but then played backwards and returns normally.
  • In the movie 12 Strong, as the lightning strikes the tree, it's sound is replaced with the booming thunder instead of clapping ones. It uses the square logo instead of rectangular ones, and without "Jerry Bruckheimer Films" word trademark.
  • Other films uses the logo that do not have thunder sounds such as Confessions of a Shopaholic, King Arthur, and Black Hawk Down.
  • In Gone in 60 Seconds, the logo starts normally until it played backwards, with the highway runs indefinitely until it transforms into the second hand clock.
  • In Veronica Guerin, the logo is still except for the moving clouds.

Music/Sounds[]

Just the sounds of the wind and thunder. In 2004, some of the thunder sounds were replaced with new, more realistic thunder sound effects.

Scare Factor[]

Medium to high, as the animation in the logo and the sounds will get a lot, but the lightning animation is otherwise professional.
