Logos[]

1st Logo (June 12, 1972-August 7, 1975)[]

Taking place against a black background, the gold letters "BP" zoom out. Afterwards, a series of small multicolored lines can be seen waving at the center, followed by a gold multi-lined cross shape containing the same letters at the center, which leaves several multi-colored residue trails. The cross shape shifts in height, and the set of gold text "BRYANSTON" and "PICTURES" in the Eurostile Bold Extended font appears above and below the shape, respectively. Then, the logo dissolves, and the text "PRESENTS", shown in the same font, forms at the center before fading out.

Variants[]

  • Most of the time, the company name was not shown, due to the cropping or matting.
  • A film deteriorated version exists, where the background is denim blue, the logo itself is white, and the colors seen when the second box begins to stretch are pink and mint green. Also, the final text is barely visible.
  • For a French-Canadian dub of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the last quarter portion is cut out, and the text "BRYANSTON PICTURES PRÉSENTE" is shown.

2nd Logo (October 26, 1973-1976)[]

On a purple background, the white text "BRYANSTON DISTRIBUTORS PRESENTS" slides from the right side and stops at the center.

Music/Sounds[]

[]

A series of random, warbly synth-like sounds produced by a Moog synthesizer. Starting this off is an ascending whoosh, followed by descending beeping sounds, a loud descending chirp, an array of fast-paced ominous music with a sound that resembles the descending voices of the THX Deep Note, then warbly sounds that end with a droning synth hum and continuous synth beats and chirps.

[]

None.

Scare Factor[]

1st Logo[]

Medium to Nightmare. This is generally because of the darkness, notorious Scanimate effects, creepy sounds, and overall odd feel this logo brings.

2nd Logo[]

None. This logo is just text sliding without audio, and is overall harmless.
